Who we are

Pet Said What is a service of Park and Laugh, Inc. This policy explains what information we collect when you use petsaidwhat.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and login, managed securely by our login provider (Clerk). We never see or store your password.

Order details: the pet names, instructions, occasion and other details you enter, plus the pet clips and photos you upload.

Comic profiles: the name, bio, photos, prices, sample video links and contact email a comic submits, and their agreement to our terms.

Payments: card payments are handled entirely by Square. We receive payment status and amount, but never your full card number.

Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

To create your account, take and deliver your order, let your chosen comic produce your video, send you order emails, prevent fraud, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Who sees your information

Your assigned comic sees your order details and clips so they can make your video. The owner sees orders and profiles to run the service. Approved comic profiles are public.

If you give promotional permission, your finished video may be posted by Pet Said What and your comic no earlier than 14 days after delivery. If you keep your clip private, it is not posted.

Service providers that help run the site: DigitalOcean (hosting and file storage), Clerk (login), Square (payments), Resend (email) and YouTube (published adoption videos). They only use your information to provide their services to us.

How long we keep it

We keep account and order records while your account is active and as needed for accounting, taxes, disputes and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and private media; some records may need to be kept for a period required by law.

Your choices

You can update your email and password in Account Settings, change promotional permission before submitting an order, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information by contacting us. California residents have additional rights under California privacy law, and we will honor those requests.

Children

Pet Said What is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Do not include children in uploaded footage without a parent or guardian’s permission.

Security

We use secure HTTPS connections, a dedicated login provider and access controls on private media. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login safe.
